Andrew's Sunset Award

This year my parents were in Norway, so Henry and I were able to give the award. Off hand, I said to Henry "do you want to do it yourself this year"...and he said yes. So, he gave a speech in front of a auditorium full of people, talking about his Uncle Andrew and what the award means. He was articulate, funny, and pretty much awesome.

t was an extremely emotional moment for me. One of my greatest sadness's is that my kids will never know Andrew and the way he spoke made me feel like that a piece of that isn't true. He does know him through our stories and through Andrew's spirit.

The kid who got the award this year is a FANTASTIC and kind boy, so that made it all the better.
