Ivy and Bean

Maggie had another performance ...IVY and Bean.

Despite a somewhat rough class....she ended up seeming to love the performance and it was so fun to see her so happy.

She was especially lucky in that she had THE BEST cheering squad...in having our family, my parents, Gordon, and Brookie and her boys.

She is SO loved.

Timbers Home Opener!!

The Timbers opened their new stadium. Mark worked on it so we got to watch from the "party deck'....which was gorgeous...and amazing...and scared me. Unfortunately, they loss...BOO!

The next day the Thorns played their first home game...which was glorious...and they won!

End of School Year

Since Frances is going to Norco for Regionals, Friday was her last day of 5th grade and her last day of FPE. SNIFFLE. SNIFFLE.

AFTER 5 THE GRADE

BEFORE  KINDER

These two at the start....vs the end.....

Openers of the Pool

We drove back to Waverly to open the pool for summer....and to let henry golf....again.....

We were the only ones there.

It was glorious.

Magical Manzanita Memorial Day

Manzanita +Memorial Day = Magic.

We have gone for the last ten years and it never gets old. I always have to work, but don't mind as we are there. This year, Henry golfed a lot, we had a bonfire with friends, and my parents were there  to play too!

FPE CARNIVal

A tradition at FPE is the 5th graders get an "obstacle course" at the FPE Carnival. Frances LOVED it....and I loved it for her.

Moments with Henry

Henry is approaching middle school graduation...and I can feel it....I can feel school, sports, and just his natural and important growth as a human being happening and him starting to explore and separate from the family unit. I know this is what we raise our kids to be able to do -- to fly on their own with grace and pride and strength.....and I am SO PROUD of him and the person he is becoming....and piece of me already misses him. So, I try. I try to see him as much as possible. We had some fun golf dates, even with a rainbow, a blazer game....and this the last pic is my face when he called me -- for the first time --- from his phone...that was promised at the end of eighth grade..
