State Cup Finals

Both kid's teams made it to the quarterfinals. Pretty amazing.

Henry's team really surprised others and themselves - they had SO MUCH grit. Henry had a brilliant State Cup. He was involved with all 10 goals in the games -- scoring seven and providing the three assists for the others. They ended up losing to a team that was fantastic. After the game the coach pulled Henry aside to tell him what a stellar player and captain he was and that he was a class act...tear jerker.

Frances team has been playing well - even with the transition back to the small field. They won 7:0 in the group stage games, 8:0 in the quarter final and 4:0 in the semis. Maggie stunned folks last night wearing shorts while others were in down parkas....and today, she and her friend Campbell performed at half time.  Aunt Brookie and her boys came too- which meant so much to Frances. Fun stuff.

Our Vote is Portand

My cousin Jeffrey, and Maggie's godfather, interviewed for a pediatric orthopedics position at Shiners. He is between here and Indianapolis.

We hope he picks here....it would be so fun to have him in town.

Easter 2019 ....AND....Henry's Birthday

It was a glorious day for Easter...and Henry's b-day. He was in heaven as he got in two rounds of golf...one before and one after brunch....and I was in heaven as I got to go mass, eat brunch with bacon, and go on a hike with Maggie while everyone golfed.

I really can't believe my sweet son is double lucky number seven. How is that even possible? That said, while I of course love him more than I knew possible, I really, really like him as a person. He is a person I would pick to hang out with...regardless of whether he was my kid. I am really excited...and nervous...and excited for what the year ahead holds for him.

Oregon Womens Game

The UofO women made it to the final four.....played in Portland.

We were flying back and arriving within an hour of start time.

We went for it.

EPIC GAME.

A-MAZING.

Such a fantastic experience for us...made the 5 am wake up call worth it.

Cousin Crew

We had our annual get together with our Campanella Cousins. We got to see Jack play, watch March Madness, and the kids came up with play. I just love how close they are and how much they pick up from the last time they saw each other.

In past years we drive by a golf course that has "soccer golf". This year we tried it out. We loved it!!!!! and had so much fun........until Maggie realized we were playing 18 holes and not 9....insert the third pic. We decided it was the QUINTESSENTIAL Reuland Kid pic and if they form a band, this is the pic. Separately, Mark and Henry managed to get in two days of "real" golf and were in heaven.

Our next stop was La jolla -- a place I spent so much of my childhood. So much fun. One of my favorite parts is that Frances and I, independently, picked out the same book to read for Spring Break -- GRIT - and I loved it. I read it and another book. WHAT ?!?!?!

Cardiff

We managed to get to our favorite beach in Cardiff....and to see my cousin Lauren and her two boys....and watch EPIC March Madness....

Torrey Pines and Cariff Like I Have Never Seen It

San Diego has apparently had a lot of rain....insert giggle....that said, I have NEVER seen it so green there. We went for a hike in Torrey Pines...one of my favorite places... Bliss.
