MARCH

March was extremely busy with the house on the market and a couple of trips. Colleen and Henry went to NYC where Henry got to ride on the subway and Dad went to Lake Tahoe for Dan's Bachelor Party. The weekend corresponded with NCAA March Madness so much basketball was watched. I also managed to bring home a little bit of money from the craps tables.

SO-CAL

We had an awsome time in Southern California. Jim had a meeting in Coronado outside of San Diego so it turned into a Peck Family reunion. The Alaska crew and the New York crew were all there. We had a good time at the beach at the historic Hotel Del in Coronado and then went to both Legoland and Disneyland. Both Henry and I had a great time on our first visit to the Magic Kingdom. Henry after some intitial hesitation had a great time on the rides including, Dumbo, his favorite, the Nemo Sub, Pirates of the Carribean (he now sing Ho Ho Ho Ho the pirates life for me). We did not loose any of the 7 kids which was good thing.

We have been very busy getting our house ready to put on the market. I geuss we had to much clutter so our real estate agent advised us to pack up half our posesscions and put them in storage.

A Nice Day for a Parade

The Rose Parade was awsome. We had great seats right in front of the HGTV announcers in the main grandstand. Coffee, donuts and juice were all provided under the bleachers. Emeril kicked off the parade with his patented "Let's Kick It Up, BAM". Henry's favorite float was the one that depicted a freeway with a bunch of cars, big suprise. He also like the bands and enjoyed naming all the instruments that passed by.

We hiked down to the Rose Bowl where Stearns had a raging tailgate going with some tasty burgers and dogs. Henry grabbed a nap in the stroller, we saw Keyshawn Johnson by a public restroom and we saw a lot of orange and blue Illini fans. Inside Henry was a little bit tentative when he came through the tunnel but once we got up to our seats he was pretty happy. Needless to say we were pretty tired after hiking back out of the canyon and back to our hotel.

Christmas Day

Henry was quite excited on Christmas morning. So excited we really didn't have a chance to comb our hair. We first opened our stockings and Henry's contained many a go-go. Then on to the presents under the tree. Henry loved all his presents and was very reluctant to take a nap and then leave them when we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner. His big present from Mom and Dad was a piano from which we have been treated to many concerts already. Grandpa Gordon gave Henry the cool choo choo train.

Dinner was excellent and included a very good turkey some excellent stuffing. We had quite a full house with me, Colleen, Henry, Jim, Joan, Jenny, Fritz, Mary, Billy, James, Kate, Katie, Brian, Olivia, Christian, Gertrude, Uncle Mike, Barbara, Melissa and Veronica.

Run In with Santa

We somehow organized it so all the cousins could meet downtown before everyones nap and visit Santa. We had been preparing Henry for this for quite a while and he eventually said that yes he would like to see Santa but, he would not sit on Santa's lap, James would sit on his lap and Henry would stand next to Santa. All went well standing in line Henry was still pretty excited about seeing Santa. Our turn came and Henry walked around Santa very slowly. He let the cousins start to get there places on Santa's lap and then Santa gave Henry the evil eye captured in this picture. After that it was all down hill. Once he realized they would be taking pictures it was over. Total meltdown. He recovered quick but defenitly does not want to see Santa again for at least another year.

Soccer Movie

We were making movies in the backyard this weekend and Henry came up with his own line. Not sure where this came from but it is pretty funny.

Thanksgiving in Corning

We were in Corning for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Henry had a great time showing off his guitar skills until he got two huge blisters on both thumbs after an epic jam session on the second day we arrived. Wisher came down from the 'Cuse one day and we had lunch at the Market Street Brewery. Henry enjoyed spending time with Grammy Kris and Grandpa and began to think he would get a new present every day.

After a week of partying and late bedtimes Henry was worn out on the plane ride home.

Dan and Emilys Engagement Party

Dan and Emily met at a Halloween Party two years ago. Dan was dressed as Superman and Emily was a 5-year old girl. Last night was their engagement party and everyone went dressed as their favorite super hero or little girl. We were The Incredibles... oh yeah.

Henry and KK Running in the Ocean

I wanted to try and post a video and this is a good one of Aunt KK and Henry running at the ocean from earlier this summer.
