Every year Brookie and I go to Hood River the first weekend of Xmas break for the kids to celebrate her birthday. We thought about cancelling, but we persevered. We got bottom floor rooms, packed sleeping bags, and pulled off playdate and dinners outside. It was worth it. So fun to get time together, even if modified.
