Best Way to Celebrate NYE
The last few years we have hiked Neahkanie on NYE. The. best. The view was stunning and it was so much fun to talk to the kids about their goals for the new year. Then we had dinner, baked a cake...which I don't do, and celebrated with the folks on TV :)
Best Place to Close out the Year
We went to Manzanita for our last vacation before school started and to close out the year. It was MAGICAL. It was just so stunning and family time for golfing, biking and board games was exactly what we all needed.
XMas
We had a fantastic Xmas. The presents were light as we are taking the kids to Europe this summer and I LOVED it. We got to run in the afternoon. Then we had my dad for dinner and played Family Feud. (No, my parents are not divorced. My dad was supposed to be Bangladesh on a medical mission and his trip was delayed and my mom was already in Hawaii)
XMas Eve with Friends
We are keeping our Xmas Eve Tradition of Mass and then dinner at Serratto with the Watson and Davis Family. It is ASTOUNDING how much our families and the kids have grown over the years. I love our tribe. I love this tradition. I know the last picture is blurry, but is my favorite. It is so Brookie and me together....leaning over and laughing.
Hood River with Brookie
While Henry and Mark were Bandon, I went to Hood River (aka Heaven) with Brooke to celebrate her birthday. So fun. We are now doing this every Xmas break.
Bandon
Henry played in golf tournament at Bandon Dunes. Yes, Bandon Dunes. It was his main Xmas present. He went with Mark and had a BLAST.
Christmas Break = GOLF
If Henry had to pick one work for Xmas break, it would be golf.
In the first week, in three days, he golfed 100 holes with my dad.
Then, the following week he added Frances to the mix.
So cute.
