Halloween 2017.

For costumes.....

1) Cheerleader
2) Jordan Spieth at the Masters
3) Joran Speith's Caddy

Maggie went trick or treating with her friends this year....whose parents also brought their Halloween game.....I think this is a sign of the future.

Frances and Henry stuck with each other and decided they had a pace and number of houses to hit that just didn't gel with slower pace of hanging with friends.

BLUENICORNS RULE!!

Maggie's soccer team ended the season with a bang.

Her coach outdid herself as usual...instead of trophies they got unicorn head bands. Seriously. She is amazing and raises the bar.

For treats, we had cupcakes with handmade unicorns.

These moms have some serious A game.

So thrilled Maggie had such a fun season.

LYS Cheerleader

The Lincoln High School cheerleaders game to Maggie's school and did a performance. She. Was. Hooked. They had a week long clinic and then a performance at the HS football game. She begged me to go....I resisted....she begged me to go.....and I caved. I am SO glad I did. I have to say, I have never seen her smile so bright and be so excited then when she left "cheer practice" with the HS schools.

On Friday night we attended the HS Football game...first time since I was in HS....and she cheered in front a huge crowd...and LOVED it.

Brace myself....I may be a cheer mom.

It was so much to see her so happy and see all the coordination and flexibility required.

Timbers 3 V 3 Tournament

The Timbers hosted a 3 v 3 Halloween themed soccer competition in Providence Park.

Frances and some of her friends went as Day of the Dead.

The made it to the finals....against their teammates from their club soccer team.

Such a fun experience to have them play in costume and to get to compete on the Timbers/Thorns field.

THORNS are NWSL CHAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who knows our family and who knows Frances is aware that we are die hard Thorns fans. This year they WON the NWSL championship. So, of course, we had to go to the rally for the Thorns the day after...even though it was a school night.

So fun to see thousands of people show up to give kudos to an amazing group of female athletes.

We ran into a group of Frances's friends from her soccer club and it was a memorable and incredible experience.

Title Nine --- thank you!

Henry on the Field

Henry's team had the once in a lifetime experience of walking out with the players at the Timbers Game. It is one of my favorite MLS traditions...kids walk the players out...and my kid got to do it. He was beyond excited and we were thrilled to see him experience such a cool event.

Pumpkin Patch 2017

The kids had a day off of school. Unfortunately I had to work the first part and was so bummed. As soon as I was done I rushed home...and the sun came out!! With the burst of liquid joy, we decided to go to the pumpkin patch....a new one!! We had heard about it and how fun it was.... there is a train...and a boat...and they let dogs come!! SOLD.

So. Much. Fun.

A day in the life of a Bluenicorn

Maggie has had a magical Fall soccer experience. Her coach is funny, thoughtful and totally gets young girls. She bought them bright socks, talks about ponies and princesses and is overall awesome.

Much to our surprise...poor third child...Maggie seems to be quite athletic...and is a fierce soccer player....where did she learn that ?!?!??!!?

The best part though, is she is still Maggie. So after she barrels down the field and scores, she still jumps for joy and does a dance.

My favorite tradition of her team is they do ring around the rosie and sing at half time. I mean come on...impossible not to smile.

This week she played against her friends from Opal. It was so fun to see them reunited.
