Ramona Quimby

OCT had a production of Ramona Quimby. Henry has read all of Beverly Cleary's books and Frances has started to read them herself with the same goal. The play was Sunday and unfortunately Frances had a football game at the same time...and Mark is the coach. SO, Henry got to bring two of his friends. He chose two VERY sweet and kind boys from his Battle of the Books team - two kids who share is love of reading. They were so sweet and it was fun to see how Henry interacts with a different set of friends that aren't his sports team friends. After, we had lunch in Director's Park and played chess in the sun.

Mothers Day 2015

Mothers day, as the kids get older, gets a bit interesting. Through cards and gifts, they express in their own way and through their own vantage point why they love me as a mom. I have to say, it seems to get sweeter and sweeter with each year. Henry is able to better articulate what he appreciates, while also being at that point in development where what he points out is interesting. Frances can write her thoughts in a way I can understand. Maggie is now part of a loving community that can help create a shared poem that she contributed to...."My mom smells sweet like bananas"...yup, that is me. I love being mom. I love, love, love being a mom. There is not one day that I take for granted the honor and privilege it is to be able to be the mom of these wonderful human beings. My cup runneth over. I also am very appreciative on mothers day of the mom I get to be because of the person I married and that I am raising our children. I truly feel that we are genuine partners in this art of being parents ....and having do the house chores that go along with THREE kids. Without Mark, I couldn't be the mom I love being and without Mark, our kids wouldn't be as lovely to mother.  I also am SO thankful for the moms that I am surrounded with in this wonderful journey - my loving army. I feel so blessed.

Spring Finally Arrived in NYC

The Sunday after the wedding I got to have a "girls date" with Frances, Katie and Maggie. It was 80 degrees in NYC and after a VERY long winter, you could tell new yorkers were stir crazy to get out. The park was filled and it was just one of those incredible days in an incredible city. I loved having the alone time with my niece Katie - she is just so sweet, funny, and so close to Frances. They held hands about 80 percent of the day.  Then, when Henry came into town and I talk him for a walk in the city. He was in heaven watching all the sports being played on the big green.

Waccabuc Lake

We stayed at the Waccabuc Country Club where my godmotha LIsa's belongs. In the summer they have an incredible space on the lake that was my kids dream...playground, sports, and swimming. We want to go back in summer!

Reception

Ashleys reception was just ONE BIG PARTY. There was serious, hard core dancing before dinner was even served. I love my family. The kids all went home sweaty from dancing so much. Too adorable.

Cousins

There is nothing better than cousins and family I adore and love. Every moment together is cherished.

Ashley's Wedding

Ashley's wedding ceremony was WONDERFUL. I cried, I laughed and just felt so honored to be there. Frances did a wonderful job as flower girl -she handled the whole thing with poise, grace, and her usual spunk. Henry had confidence and excitement as he brought the gifts and Maggie...well she loved the dogs and decided she was formally part of the wedding party.

Work Out Mama's and Bridal Luncheon

Ashley loves to work out so she had a cycle class and bootcamp. It was my first spin class - holy moly hard. It was so much fun. I have to say, I think it is hilarious how much my extended family shares the love of group work outs.

We then went to a bridal lunch at Lisa's friends magical house. It was SPECTACULAR and the girls loved being the center of the party.
